Air-fryer Brussel Sprouts

🥦 Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

(Crispy Outside, Tender Inside – Detailed Step-by-Step Guide)

Air fryer Brussels sprouts turn beautifully caramelized and crispy with minimal oil. The key is proper trimming, drying, and cooking at the right temperature.

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 1 lb (450g) fresh Brussels sprouts

  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Optional Add-Ins

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon crispy bacon bits

🔪 Step 1: Prep the Brussels Sprouts (Very Important)

  1. Trim off the tough stem ends.

  2. Remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves.

  3. Cut in half lengthwise (quarter if very large).

  4. Rinse and dry completely with paper towels.

👉 Dry sprouts = crisp sprouts.
Moisture causes steaming instead of browning.

🧂 Step 2: Season

In a large bowl toss:

  • Brussels sprouts

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic powder

Make sure every piece is lightly coated.

🔥 Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Preheating helps immediate crisping.

🍽 Step 4: Arrange in Basket
